The fruit used in les vergers Boiron blood orange puree comes from the Moro, Tarocco and Sanguinello varieties, grown in Sicily and Morocco. The pigmentation responsible for the red colour of this fruit (anthocyanin) is favoured by the high day-time and low night-time temperatures that prevail in Moroccan regions. Sicily’s volcanic earth is also very suitable for growing this fruit. Very developed blood-orange flavour with light zesty notes, and without any hints of over-ripeness.
