They are boiled before baking to give an authentic thick, chewy and shiny crust, and a soft, dense inner texture. Allow the bagels to defrost at room temperature for approximately 2-3 hours before use. Once defrosted, the bagels should be stored in a sealed bag, in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. It is not recommended that this product is stored in a refrigerator. The bagels have a shelf-life of 2 days once defrosted.
