Bodegas Terras Gaudas

Bodegas Terras Gauda’s main objective is to produce the highest quality wines with unique personalities, using noble varieties grown in ideal conditions and vinified according to the regional tradition. They craft their wines using advanced technology and the utmost care.

In 2002, Bodegas Terras Gauda acquired Bodegas Pittacum in the Bierzo DOC region, desiring to make quality red wines from the grapes of this ancient vineyard – the oldest vines in the region – and age them in oak barrels. When building the winery, they unearthed a conic amphora called a pittacum, used by the Romans as a unit of measure, inspiring the name of these much-lauded wines.
