We would like to update you on market challenges on Poultry.

The EU chicken market has been mainly influenced by a combination of the pandemic and the Avian Influenza (AI) outbreak across the EU.

The mass culling of birds (due to AI) in some EU countries has resulted in a shortage of birds ready for slaughter. This is likely to create significant supply challenge in the EU chicken market over the summer months.

The lack of raw material in the market coupled with increased demand as the Irish and UK economies reopen has resulted in supplier price increases
