Wines under the title Vin de France are classified as table wines when coming from France and replaced the category Vin The Table. This standard came into law in 2010 and the quality of wines has become very high over the last number of years. Wines under the title Vin de France are not named by region or appellation and may indicate the grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon or Sauvignon Blanc on the label, as the wines are usually sold by grape variety or by the brand name.
